Rahul Gandhi’s Mumbai Visit

When I first heard about Rahul’s message in regards to Mumbai, “Mumbai for all Indians.”  I was happy to see a leader who is young, energetic, charming; yet firm in his resolve and has the capacity to raise his voice against strong powerhouses, disregarding personal threats.  This is a time when we need to stand by and rally behind Rahul since his stance is very clear, “unity of this country is a matter of concern and we cannot allow insane justifications to be raised”  On issues such as these, the sena were used to be successful by showing their prowess by demonstrations, road blocks, or some sort of fun activity.   Unfortunately this time, they had to bow down before Rahul, who is becoming the champion of causes across all sections of our society.

In fact, I started to get impressed by Rahul when I saw him speak in one of the press meets held in Chennai.  The speech was crystal clear.  What I could not forget was how clear he was and the way he conveyed the message of his party’s stand at the same time bashing the BJP and the communists (in fact, I like communists).  I could not find the right words of his speech, but could come a bit near to it.  He said, “BJP is using Shine India policy where only the upper class and the literate people get to benefit, but the middle and poorer sections of the society get forgotten.  In regards to the communists, “they voice and fight for the backward and poorer sections of the society and they to the extent of getting the resources from the upper class society and distribute among the poorer sections of the society, however, the communists are in fact hampering the growth of the economy as a whole, which is not good for a country.  Now, Congress (his party) is using the “inclusive policy” where every section of the society from this country will be looked after.  Congress would take steps to grow the economy by driving the upper class, at the same time devising plans to uplift rural India, backward class, and poorer sections of our country.  Man!!! what a way to go. . .if this kind of thought process is going to evolve and is solidified, India will truly become awesome.

I hope Rahul Gandhi will sit in the thorn seat as PM one day, and let’s keep our fingers crossed and pray that he is able to do things and bring India to the forefront and do all the good things that he has said.
