We Will Remember You Vinosha

A girl who will be always remembered by all who knew her, such was her rare character.  A girl who always had a smile in her face and always receptive.  Most importantly, she was a very good human being, she cared for and reached out to anyone who sought her help or if she sensed if someone needed her help.  I admired her very much for her sincerity and hard/smart work.  She started her career with us as a fresher in web designing, and went on to become a team leader in a very short span of time.  As a fresher, nobody imagined that Vinosha would be a good performer, but she proved herself on her own responsibilities and outshone and went on to prove that she had the capability.  When she was given the role of a team leader, she again proved her talent and ability to face the most challenging projects.  No matter how many projects she handled, how many difficult customers she was handling, she managed her team, her peers, her manager with a smiling face, and surged ahead with success.   She was a girl of a kind heart.

When the news of her demise reached us, we did not believe it and believed it to be a fake (we wanted it to be false news as we could not imagine losing her).  But the fact was otherwise, she indeed departed from us.  We lost a kind, aspiring, and highly talented girl because of the most stupidest invention of mankind – “caste/religion.”

May her soul rest in peace and God Bless her Soul.

On February 7, 1817, a man was born a slave in Tuckahoe (near Easton) Maryland. He escaped in 1838, changed his name, and settled in Massachusetts. He became a popular spokesman for the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society, traveling throughout the U. S. and the British Isles. He also became a successful businessman (the first Black man to own a publishing house), a diplomat (ambassador to Haiti), and the author of three autobiographies (some of the best “slave narratives” ever written). In an 1857 speech, he said: “If there is no struggle, there is no progress.”

Year End Business Meeting For 2010 And Goal Setting For 2011

On the morning of 17th December 2010, we congregated in the conference room in one of the most well known spots in Chennai. All the six of us were prepared with the presentation with the goal settings for the next year and the plan for the next year. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss how to grow the company, discuss on the lessons that we learned this year, the goals achieved this year, and what are things that needs to be accomplished next year.

The first presentation was given by Amal followed by Thiaghu, Bala.M, and myself. The beauty of this meeting was that the ideas and the thought process were similar for all of us.

Both the two main goals for the year of 2010 was achieved, which were the achievement of reaching 100 employees and the achievement of revenue generation target.

The next day, on December 18, 2010 – Bala.K continued by giving his presentation and Sriram gave the final and concluded the meeting.

After the daunting and very crucial meeting, we went to our suites and got readied ourselves to have some relaxation to become energetic for the next day. We played ping pong and Snooker until 9:00 PM and retired to our suites to start the off the record discussion. Sriram took the lead and concluded the points discussed and we all settled for the day.

Indian Navy’s Version Of LCA – Light Combat Aircraft

It is good to know that our Navy’s version of LCA has been rolled out, but still there seems to be a battery of tests that is required to make LCA or light combat aircraft to be fully operational. Indigenization is a very important factor for our ability to mobilize resources to ward off any threat. Right now, we are spending billions of money to “buy” military hardware from countries such as Russia, USA, Israel, France, etc. It is high time we invest heavily on research and development and to start manufacturing state-of-the-art military hardware and mass produce them and keep them operational.

In the event of war, we should not depend on other countries for the supply of military hardware, instead we should develop the ability to manufacture them in our own soil to huge proportion and send them to the forward positions or military flash points. One may think that indigenization will prove that we are an emerging super power, but this is much more than that.

One of the other advantages if we become masters in military hardware would be that we will save billions of dollars that we spend for aircrafts, artillery guns, submarines, destroyers, corvettes, why even automatic rifles. A portion of that saved billions could be channeled to the economic development of our country, and a portion could be channeled to the research and development of new technologies for military purposes.

It is a well known factor that it is not the numbers that win a war, but the technology. In the Second World War, if England hadn’t invented radar – then England would have been defeated by Germany, and the events of history would have been different.
